Sculpture with an authentic gramophone in working condition from Columbia Graphophone Company, London ca. 1917 on granite pedestal, 107x85x57cm², VII-IX/2020, collection of artist

The sculpture is based on Dalí's world-famous painting from 1941 "PASSENGER VEHICLE DRESSED IN 1941". https://wanderlord.com/automobiles-history/interesting-car-by-salvador-dali/
It shows a gramophone, which is - in accordance with surrealistic nightmares - penetrated by wooden excesses and "ossified" itself. It dissolves, cracks and becomes one with the organic form of nature.
It is playing Bach`s fugue. "The Art of Fugue" (BWV 1080) by Johann Sebastian Bach is the most perfect mathematic and musical composition of humankind in my eyes - unfinished because of his death at contrapunctus XIV. He is a saved child of God.

Sie zeigt ein antikes Trichtergrammophon, das entsprechend surrealistischer Alpträume von hölzernen Auswüchsen durchdrungen wird und selber "verknöchert". Dabei löst sie sich auf, erfährt eine Metamorphose zum Baum, bekommt Auswüchse und wird eins mit der organischen Form der Natur.
