"THE PERSISTENCE OF MEMORY - Homage to Salvador Dalí"

Large wall clock with three bronze bells from a very rare comtoise "treize pièces", ca. 1765, Louis XV period. They usually have one bell, here we have a deluxe version of the so-called "grande sonnerie". The main bell, cast by Robert Dubois (mid-18th century), strikes every hour and the small bells every quarter of an hour.
It was the short time that makers were not able to build the dial out of one large piece of high-quality enamel. Before that time the dial was made of pure bronze or brass with smaller enamelled dials. Pieces "IIII"+"VI" were missing, "V" is original enclosed with the clock. It's a very rare and museal piece of history, everything is theoretically reversible.

According to the world-wide known and wanted soft watches of the master of surrealism Salvador Dalí I have made my own 3D interpretation.
